CHASING CLOSURE : A Life Balanced on The Edge of Belonging

About

It is a memoir and narration of my life and childhood that started in a dysfunctional family and subsequent challenges that I faced in a bid to make sense of where I truly belong in life.  It deals with issues of faith, my life as an illegal immigrant in the UK and the challenges of even living a life where I was afraid of even celebrating a birthday.

The book is some sort of way to make sense of my life .

Born into a love that defied tradition in Cote d’Ivoire, educated in Ghana and the UK, and navigating life in Nigeria, I have always found myself on the edge of belonging, wrestling with rejection, displacement, and the lingering echoes of a past that now shaped me in ways I only begin to understand later in life. As I navigate the complexities of my multi-heritage, the unrelenting burden of responsibility, and the quest to break free from cycles of pain, I discover that closure is not a destination—it is a state of being.

I tried as much as possible to tell every bit with raw honesty and heartfelt reflection. I am inviting readers to walk alongside with me as I confronts the challenges and joys of finding where I truly belongs.

This memoir, is not just a story of one man’s journey; it is an invitation to explore what it truly means to belong, to heal, and to reclaim one’s identity in the face of deep-seated generational struggles.
For anyone who has ever felt like an outsider, Chasing Closure offers an honest reminder: even in the in-between, there is meaning, resilience, and the power to redefine one’s own story and find closure.
